

People were camping on the land where Red Squirrel Campsite is now since last century.
Hugh Maccoll found a horseshoe embedded in a tree he cut in 1970.It looked like one used by Gypsies.
Since 1914 there is a written record of prices collected for camping .
The name Red Squirrel was founded in 1984 when the Glen was inhabited by Red Squirrel which now can be hardly seen.
